I feel fortunate to have my birth name. I do use screen names & while feeling for one to use here, it came together for me that my natural name was the right one. Here’s why:

If you look at central Asia in an atlas, you’ll see the very large expanse of the Pamir mountains. Because this topography covers such a variety of languages and peoples the meaning of Pamir is varied. It has the meaning of height, mountain, peak, summit and my favorite, “undulating grasslands.” More musings about my name.
